A Nordic bench on arched crossed legs, cut from solid wood and left to do the work: the seat is a thin tray with a single flat pad laid into it, and everything expressive happens below the seat rather than on it.
Two finishes: a walnut frame with a black pad, or a black-stained frame with a cream pad. Two lengths, both 35 cm deep and 45 cm high.

Care
Wipe the seat pad with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. No solvents, no alcohol, no abrasive cleaners. Wipe the wooden frame the same way. Keep it out of long direct sunlight, which darkens walnut and lightens black stain. At 35 cm deep the bench is meant for sitting on the edge rather than lounging; treat the pad accordingly.
Warranty
Two years, in line with Swiss statutory warranty. Covered: faults in the frame, the joints and the seams of the seat pad. Not covered: normal wear, the padding softening with use, scratches from use, and fading in direct sunlight. Write to us through the contact form with your order number and a photo, and we will sort it out.

Seat depth of 35 cm with high-resilience foam — deep enough to lounge, supportive enough to sit up in.

What if it arrives damaged?
Inspect the delivery before signing. If anything is wrong, photograph it and contact client services within 48 hours — we will arrange a replacement part, a replacement or a return.

How do I clean it?

Placing it
Where a chair would be in the way.
At the end of a bed, take the length that stops short of the mattress on both sides rather than matching it exactly. 100 cm suits a 140 cm bed, 120 cm suits a 160 or 180.
In a hallway, leave at least 90 cm of clear floor in front of it so two people can still pass. The seat is 42 cm high, which is normal chair height, so it works for putting on shoes as well as for sitting.
Under a window, keep it off the wall by a few centimetres. The steel base is visible from the side and the gap is what makes it read as furniture rather than as built-in seating.
