Terms and Conditions

The terms of sale that apply to every order placed on this site. Framework only until the clauses have been drafted and reviewed by qualified counsel.

These terms and conditions govern all orders placed with Maison Laval, Av. de Pratifori 3, 1950 Sion, Switzerland ("we", "us"). Full company details are listed in the imprint.

1. Scope

These terms apply to all orders placed through maison-laval.ch, including orders placed via direct checkout links. The version published at the time of the order applies. Deviating terms of the customer do not apply.

2. Conclusion of contract

The presentation of products in the shop is an invitation to order, not a binding offer. By completing checkout you make a binding offer to purchase. The contract is concluded when we confirm the order by email. This order confirmation also serves as your receipt.

3. Prices

All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) and include Swiss VAT. Delivery costs are charged separately and shown at checkout before you confirm your order. Obvious errors in pricing may be corrected; in that case you may cancel the affected order free of charge.

4. Payment

Checkout is operated by Shopify. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, including Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and major cards. The full amount is charged when you place the order. For made-to-order pieces, payment reserves your production slot. Card details are processed by the payment provider and never reach or are stored by us.

5. Delivery and transfer of risk

We deliver within Switzerland. In-stock items ship within 5 to 10 working days; made-to-order pieces take 4 to 6 weeks. The lead time shown on the product page applies to your order. Risk passes to you when the goods are handed over to you or a person authorised by you. Details, options and costs are described under delivery and assembly and shipping and payment.

6. Retention of title

Delivered goods remain our property until the purchase price has been paid in full.

7. Returns

Swiss law does not provide a general statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. Independently of this, we grant a voluntary 30-day return right for unused goods as described under returns and exchanges. Made-to-order and customised pieces are excluded from the voluntary return right. Statutory rights in the case of defects remain unaffected.

8. Warranty for defects

The statutory warranty provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations apply. Please inspect goods upon delivery and report transport damage or defects promptly via report a problem. In the case of a defect we may, at our choice, repair, replace the affected part or replace the piece. Our additional voluntary guarantee is described under warranty and does not limit your statutory rights.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence and for personal injury. For slight negligence, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory liability, including under product liability law, remains unaffected.

10. Data protection

The handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy.

11. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss substantive law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is Sion (Valais), Switzerland. Mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction, in particular for consumers, remain reserved.

12. Severability

If individual provisions of these terms are or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
