Details
A long ivory cushion, channelled into even bands, resting on a polished steel frame. A loose bolster sits at one end, so the bench works as a seat from the side and as somewhere to lie down from the front.
The frame is the quiet part of the design: flat bar rather than tube, mitred at the corners, and set in from the ends so the cushion appears to rest rather than to be mounted.

Care
Wipe the cushion with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. No solvents and no alcohol. Work along the channels, not across them; the seams collect dust before the panels do. Polished steel shows fingerprints. A dry microfibre cloth is enough; anything abrasive leaves fine scratches that do not come out. An ivory cushion in full sun will yellow. Keep it out of the direct line of a south window.
Warranty
Two years, in line with Swiss statutory warranty. Covered: faults in the steel frame, the welds and the upholstery seams. Not covered: normal wear, the padding softening with use, scratches to the polished steel, and yellowing in direct sunlight. Write to us through the contact form with your order number and a photo, and we will sort it out.

What if it arrives damaged?
Inspect the delivery before signing. If anything is wrong, photograph it and contact client services within 48 hours — we will arrange a replacement part, a replacement or a return.

How do I clean it?

Placing it
Where a chair would be in the way.
At the end of a bed, take the length that stops short of the mattress on both sides rather than matching it exactly. 100 cm suits a 140 cm bed, 120 cm suits a 160 or 180.
In a hallway, leave at least 90 cm of clear floor in front of it so two people can still pass. The seat is 42 cm high, which is normal chair height, so it works for putting on shoes as well as for sitting.
Under a window, keep it off the wall by a few centimetres. The steel base is visible from the side and the gap is what makes it read as furniture rather than as built-in seating.
