Details

A rounded cushion held between two walnut slabs. The slabs rise past the seat on the outside and stop, so the cushion looks set into the frame rather than laid on top of it, the way a stone is set into a ring.

Seen from the end the two slabs read as one folded plane. Seen from the front the bench almost disappears into its own shadow line.

In cream, sage or black, in two lengths: 100 and 120 cm.

Vacuum on a low setting with an upholstery head. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in. Do not rub. Brush the nap back in one direction after cleaning, so the surface reads evenly. Wipe the walnut slabs with a barely damp cloth and dry them afterwards. The slabs stand on a narrow edge. On a hard floor, felt pads keep them from marking it.

Warranty

Two years, in line with Swiss statutory warranty. Covered: faults in the slab legs, the inner frame and the upholstery seams. Not covered: normal wear, the foam softening with use, and fading in direct sunlight. Write to us through the contact form with your order number and a photo, and we will sort it out.

Does assembly require tools?

None. The bench arrives assembled; unpack it and set it down.

What if it arrives damaged?

Inspect the delivery before signing. If anything is wrong, photograph it and contact client services within 48 hours — we will arrange a replacement part, a replacement or a return.

Can I return it?

Placing it

Where a chair would be in the way.

At the end of a bed, take the length that stops short of the mattress on both sides rather than matching it exactly. 100 cm suits a 140 cm bed, 120 cm suits a 160 or 180.

In a hallway, leave at least 90 cm of clear floor in front of it so two people can still pass. The seat is 42 cm high, which is normal chair height, so it works for putting on shoes as well as for sitting.

Under a window, keep it off the wall by a few centimetres. The steel base is visible from the side and the gap is what makes it read as furniture rather than as built-in seating.
