Details
The whole seat is worked into a grid of soft squares, each one puffed up between the seams so the surface reads as a field of cushions rather than a flat plane. The same grid carries on up the arms and along the outside.
The arms are wide, flat-topped and set slightly lower than the back, which leaves a shallow step you can lean into. Two loose cushions in the same cloth.
There is no wooden frame. The foam is the structure, so it compresses for shipping and gives the moment you sit.

Care
Vacuum on a low setting with an upholstery head. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in. Do not rub. The grid seams collect crumbs and dust. Go along them with a soft brush or the crevice tool every few weeks. Brush the bouclé back in one direction after cleaning, so the loops read evenly. There is no frame under the upholstery. Do not sit or stand on the arms, and lift it from underneath rather than by an arm. Keep it out of direct sun. Cream fades unevenly where a shaft of light falls on it every day.
Warranty
Two years, in line with Swiss statutory warranty. Covered: faults in the upholstery seams and in the foam structure. Not covered: normal wear, the foam softening with use, damage from sitting or standing on the arms, and fading in direct sunlight. What if it arrives damaged?
Inspect the delivery before signing. If anything is wrong, photograph it and contact client services within 48 hours — we will arrange a replacement part, a replacement or a return.

Placing it
Leave it room to be a shape.
A rounded sofa loses what makes it good when it is pushed flat against a wall. Ten centimetres of air behind it is enough for the curve of the back to read, and it is the difference between a piece of furniture and a fitting.
Leave 80 to 90 cm of clear floor in front for people to pass, and set the coffee table about 40 cm off the seat so you can reach it without standing up.
The back is upholstered like the front, so it can stand in the middle of a room with nothing behind it.
