Details

A midcentury bench with two different legs: a turned conical pedestal at one end, a flat slab at the other. It is an asymmetry you notice from the side and forget from the front, and it is the reason the piece looks lighter than its length.

The pads sit in a shallow walnut tray with a rounded lip, so they are held rather than fixed. Choose them all in black, or in the cream and black pairing.

Three lengths: 100, 120 and 150 cm.

Vacuum the pads on a low setting with an upholstery head. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in. Do not rub. Lift the pads out now and then and turn them, so they wear evenly. Wipe the walnut with a barely damp cloth and dry it afterwards. Keep it out of long direct sunlight.

Warranty

Two years, in line with Swiss statutory warranty. Covered: faults in the frame, the joints and the upholstery seams. Not covered: normal wear, the foam softening with use, and the wood or fabric fading in direct sunlight. Write to us through the contact form with your order number and a photo, and we will sort it out.

What if it arrives damaged?

Inspect the delivery before signing. If anything is wrong, photograph it and contact client services within 48 hours — we will arrange a replacement part, a replacement or a return.

How do I clean it?

Placing it

Where a chair would be in the way.

At the end of a bed, take the length that stops short of the mattress on both sides rather than matching it exactly. 100 cm suits a 140 cm bed, 120 cm suits a 160 or 180.

In a hallway, leave at least 90 cm of clear floor in front of it so two people can still pass. The seat is 42 cm high, which is normal chair height, so it works for putting on shoes as well as for sitting.

Under a window, keep it off the wall by a few centimetres. The steel base is visible from the side and the gap is what makes it read as furniture rather than as built-in seating.
