Details
A rounded sand-coloured cushion carried on four splayed walnut legs. The cover is ribbed and the ribs run across the seat rather than along it, which is what keeps a long bench from reading as a plank.
The legs are the other half of the idea: they meet the frame in a curve rather than a corner, so the bench sits lightly in a room instead of planting itself in it.
Flannel over a solid wood frame and high-density foam. Three lengths: 120, 140 and 150 cm.

Care
Vacuum along the ribs, not across them, on a low setting with an upholstery head. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in. Do not rub, or the rib flattens. Brush the nap back in one direction after cleaning. Keep it out of long direct sunlight; a pale flannel yellows before it fades. Wipe the walnut legs with a barely damp cloth and dry them afterwards.
Warranty
Two years, in line with Swiss statutory warranty. Covered: faults in the frame, the legs and the upholstery seams. Not covered: normal wear, the foam softening with use, flattening of the rib where it is sat on most, and fading in direct sunlight. Write to us through the contact form with your order number and a photo, and we will sort it out.

What if it arrives damaged?
Inspect the delivery before signing. If anything is wrong, photograph it and contact client services within 48 hours — we will arrange a replacement part, a replacement or a return.

Placing it
Where a chair would be in the way.
At the end of a bed, take the length that stops short of the mattress on both sides rather than matching it exactly. 100 cm suits a 140 cm bed, 120 cm suits a 160 or 180.
In a hallway, leave at least 90 cm of clear floor in front of it so two people can still pass. The seat is 42 cm high, which is normal chair height, so it works for putting on shoes as well as for sitting.
Under a window, keep it off the wall by a few centimetres. The steel base is visible from the side and the gap is what makes it read as furniture rather than as built-in seating.
