Details
A rounded ivory bouclé block lifted on four small walnut wedges. The wedges are barely there, which is the point: they hold the mass just clear of the floor so it reads as resting rather than sitting.
At 45 cm deep it is deeper than most benches and closer to an ottoman. That makes it as useful in front of a sofa as at the end of a bed, and comfortable enough to stay on.

Care
Vacuum on a low setting with an upholstery head. Keep the beater bar off; it pulls the loops. A pulled loop is snipped level with scissors, never pulled out. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in. Do not rub. The underside of the block sits close to the floor. Lift it to move it rather than dragging it, or the bouclé catches on the wedges. Keep it out of long direct sunlight; an ivory bouclé yellows before it fades.
Warranty
Two years, in line with Swiss statutory warranty. Covered: faults in the inner frame, the feet and the upholstery seams. Not covered: normal wear, the padding softening with use, pulled loops from sharp objects, and yellowing in direct sunlight. Write to us through the contact form with your order number and a photo, and we will sort it out.

What if it arrives damaged?
Inspect the delivery before signing. If anything is wrong, photograph it and contact client services within 48 hours — we will arrange a replacement part, a replacement or a return.

Placing it
Where a chair would be in the way.
At the end of a bed, take the length that stops short of the mattress on both sides rather than matching it exactly. 100 cm suits a 140 cm bed, 120 cm suits a 160 or 180.
In a hallway, leave at least 90 cm of clear floor in front of it so two people can still pass. The seat is 42 cm high, which is normal chair height, so it works for putting on shoes as well as for sitting.
Under a window, keep it off the wall by a few centimetres. The steel base is visible from the side and the gap is what makes it read as furniture rather than as built-in seating.
