Position
Sustainability
The most sustainable sofa is the one nobody replaces. That is the standard we design to, and everything on this page serves it.
The short version
Four decisions, not a slogan
-
01
Built to be repaired
Corner-blocked frames, removable covers and replaceable cushion cores, so a fault costs a part rather than a whole piece.
-
02
Short runs, no overproduction
A small range made in short runs means fewer pieces built on a guess and fewer discounted into a landfill at the end of a season.
-
03
Flat, dense packaging
Modules ship compact, which cuts the volume moved per piece. [PACKAGING MATERIALS TO CONFIRM]
-
04
Spare parts kept
Fittings and cushion cores are stocked beyond the warranty period so a repair stays possible. [SPARE PARTS PERIOD TO CONFIRM]
The most sustainable sofa is the one nobody replaces. That is the standard we design to, and everything below serves it.
Built to be repaired
Frames are screwed and doweled rather than glued shut, so a joint can be reached. Cushions, feet and fittings stay available as spare parts for ten years after a piece leaves the collection, which is long past the point at which most furniture is thrown out for want of a part.
A small collection
We do not run seasonal drops. Fewer models means longer production runs, fewer prototypes discarded, and covers that stay available years after you buy. A cover you can still order in year eight is worth more than any recycled-content figure.
Packaging
Pieces travel as separate modules in cardboard with recyclable protective film. If you book room delivery, the team takes all of it away with them; with standard delivery it stays with you and goes into household cardboard recycling.
What we have not published yet
Certification references for timber, foam and textiles, recycled content per material, workshop locations and a take-back scheme are not on this page. That is because they are not yet measured and documented to a standard we could show you, not because they are inconvenient. They will appear here when we can put the paperwork behind them.
What we do not claim
No carbon-neutral badge, no offset scheme, no adjective we cannot evidence. If a number is missing above, treat its absence as the answer.
How the pieces are built: materials and craft. What we cover when something fails: warranty.
